This modern bungalow is built on the site of an old Scottish cottage, and is situated within the Beinn Eighe Nature Reserve, which is renowned for its variety of wildlife and mountain trails.

The house stands entirely by itself and has commanding views on all sides, including two of Scotlands greatest mountains, Slioch and Ben Eighe.


The area is a haven for mountaineering, walking, fishing, bird watching and nature lovers in general, and is just a short distance from Torridon, Loch Maree and some of the many sandy beaches and bays around Gairloch and Red Point .

"Cairn Sheil" is double glazed throughout, and has a large living/dining area with colour T.V, and a music centre. The well equipped kitchen includes an automatic washer, tumble-drier, dish-washer, fridge and seperate freezer, microwave, electric cooker, automatic kettle, filter coffee maker, food processor and toaster together with a good range of cooking utensils and crockery.

The three bedrooms all have fitted wardrobes and ample storage space. One large bedroom has a double bed and single bed, the other two rooms having twin beds. All bedding is provided, apart from sheets and pillow cases, but these can be made available on booking at an extra charge, this also applies to towels and tea towels. A cot is provided, although cot bedding and pillows will have to be provided by yourself. There is a bathroom with W.C, hand basin, bath with overhead electric shower, heat and light and heated towel rail. There is also a separate W.C and hand basin.

Hot water, heating, light and other electrical appliances are paid for via a prepayment meter (£1 coins) apart from storage heating which is provided free during the winter months. A telephone is available ( details on request).

There is ample parking space within the grounds of the bungalow. Shopping and petrol are available in Kinlochewe village which is approximately half a mile away. The Kinlochewe Hotel is open all year, with a public lounge which provides bar meals etc.

Fishing trips, guided hill walks and Mountain Bikes are all available by arrangement.

A deposit of £50 per week, plus a retainer of £50 are payable on booking, the balance being payable six weeks before arrival. Price per week from £195

Raasay and Rona , traditional style semi detached croft houses at Melvaig by Gairloch are also available.
